The US. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently announced a Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) general signup. Pheasants Forever will be hosting a Landowner Informational meeting on Wednesday, August 11 from 7:00 pm -9:00 pm at the Courthouse Extension Service to help answer questions about how to improve enrollment chances and wildlife values.
The new general CRP signup (August 2-27) will be the first since 2006, and landowner demand is expected to be strong, especially considering the USDA has updated soil rental rates since that last general signup.
