Elgin’s 10 & Under girls are 7-0 on the season going into the last week of play.
In their first game, Neligh came to play and Elgin won 12 to 5. Getting hits for Elgin were Ashley Dowdy and Heather Bauer with three singles each, Paige Meis and Nicki Payne with two singles each and Liz Selting with a home run and a single.
For their second game, Elgin traveled to Orchard and came home with an 11 to 5 victory. Getting hits for Elgin were Ashley Dowdy, Paige Meis, Nicki Payne and Amy Nelson with three singles each, Heather Bauer and Sydney Kerkman with two singles each, and Maddie Schrage, Calli Krebs and Grace Henn each with a single.
On June 15, Elgin played a doubleheader at Albion. In game one, Elgin won 3 to 2.
