Dolores E. Henn

1934 – 2010

Dolores Elaine Henn, daughter of Sylvester and Ada (Stokes) Henn was born October 5, 1934 on the family farm near Elgin, NE. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin. She attended St. Boniface Elementary School, graduated from St. Boniface High School with the class of 1952 and attended Creighton University in Omaha, NE.

She returned to Elgin, NE where she worked as a teller for the Bank of Elgin. In 1960, Dolores moved to Aurora, CO where she worked as an Executive Admin Asst. at the Samsonite Corporation for many years. Dolores then worked at Aquanomics and also for Walker Parking Consultants as a Business/Office Manager. She retired on March 1, 1996. 

Dolores was a 40 year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3224 in Aurora, CO. Her many hobbies included bowling, reading, gardening, playing cards and crocheting. She was a super avid sports fan and loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Dolores E. Henn, 75 of Aurora, Colorado died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at her home.

She is survived by her son: James Henn of Aurora, CO; 3 grandchildren: Joey, Justin and Kyra, all of Colorado, Special Friend: Joe Caponiti of Aurora, CO; 7 siblings and spouses: Floyd (Marlene) Henn of Clearwater, NE; Roger (Joan) Henn of Crofton, NE; Dean (Mary Jane) Henn of Elgin, NE; Dan (Raedean) Henn of Elgin, NE; Lois (Bob) Camp of Yankton, SD; Mary Jane Overton of Dickinson, ND; Terry (Jan) Henn of Elgin, NE; along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents: Sylvester and Ada Henn,Sister-in-law Marjorie Henn, and niece Cindy Bohaboj.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin, NE with Rev. Dan Andrews officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. 

Memorials are suggested to St. Boniface Elementary School and Pope John Central Catholic High School.
