Helen Amelia Schmitt, 77, died Sunday, May 24, 2009 in her home. Helen was born July 9, 1931 in Elgin, NE to John & Elizabeth (Gregor) Werning.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in lieu of flowers.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Norway, Iowa, with Father Jack McClure C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s & St. Paul’s Cemetery, Watkins, Iowa.
Visitation will be Wednesday (today), 4-8 PM, at St. Michael’s Parish Center, with a rosary at 7 p.m. and vigil at 7:30 p.m.
