Wolfpack Sweep Triangular At Albion

ALBION — Competing against two Class C-2 schools Thursday night, the Wolfpack did to them what they have done to all their opponents so far this season — beat them.
The Wolfpack defeated Battle Creek 25-19 and 25-16 in their first match of a triangular. Then, in the finale, the Wolfpack defeated Boone Central/Newman Grove (BCNG) 25-23 and 25-17.
Against the Bravettes, the Wolfpack had 26 kills. They were led by Amy Nelson with 11 followed by Grace Henn with five, Paige Meis and Elizabeth Selting each with four, Nicki Payne had two.
EPPJ was 44 of 47 serving with just one ace, that by Ally Wemhoff.
Nelson, Selting and Meis each had two solo blocks in the match, Payne had one.
Jordan Mescher and Selting each had 10 digs in the match, Baylee Wemhoff added eight.
The Wolfpack had 26 set assists in the match, led by Baylee Wemhoff with 10, Ally Wemhoff had eight and Nicki Payne added seven.
Selting led the team in serve receive with 10, Mescher had eight and Calli Krebs had seven.

In the final match of the night, the Wolfpack won a close first game 25-23, then put away the Cardinals 25-17 in the second game to claim the victory.
The Wolfpack were 58 of 69 in attacks, posting 23 kills. Selting led the way with 11 kills and hitting .348. She was followed by Meis and Henn each with four kills, Nelson had two while Payne and Baylee Wemhoff each had one. The Cardinals were led by senior Jenna Kramer with eight.
From the service line the Wolfpack were 44 of 46 with two ace serves, both by Baylee Wemhoff.
Meis dominated at the net with five solo blocks in the match, Nelson and Selting each had two.
Kelsey Thompson had the Cardinals only solo block in the match.
Mescher led EPPJ in digs with 10, Krebs and Baylee Wemhoff each had nine and Nelson added eight. Thompson led the Cardinals with 11 to go along with a team-high 17 set assists.
Baylee Wemhoff led the Wolfpack in set assists with 13, Payne and Ally Wemhoff each had three. Mescher led the team in serve receive with eight, one more than Krebs.
