The annual bake sale for the Shari Schiltmeyer Softball Scholarship Fund raised $1,505. Many baked items were brought in and there were numerous cash donations. The scholarship fund is used to award scholarships each year to one or two senior girls from each school who have played at least two years of softball for Elgin. Those applying for the scholarship fill out an application which is available at both schools, and then the recipients are chosen by the fund committee.
All donations go into the scholarship fund and are greatly appreciated.
