Genevieve A. “Genny” Henn, 92 formerly of Elgin, NE passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at The Willows in Neligh, NE.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin, NE with Rev. Ross Burkhalter officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:00-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with a 7:30 p.m. wake service. Huffman-Levander Funeral Home of Elgin, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Genevieve Ann Henn, daughter of John B. and Clara (Henkenius) Moser, was born March 20, 1924 in the family home at Elgin, NE. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin and attended St. Boniface grade school and high school, graduating 12th grade. On April 30, 1945, Genny married Nick Henn at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin.
They have one son Chris Henn, born on August 8, 1968. They lived on a farm east of Raeville, NE for 19 years before purchasing a farm southwest of Elgin, NE. They lived there until moving to Elgin in 2001.
Genny was a long time member of both St. Bonaventure and St. Boniface Christian Mothers. She truly enjoyed watching nieces and nephews for her family and children of the parishes. She loved to cook and garden and help Nick around the farm. Above all, was her faith in God.
She is survived by her son Chris Henn (Janice) of Lenexa, KS; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Genny was preceded in death by her parents; husband Nick Henn; brothers: Alvin, Paul and Ray Moser; sisters: Malinda Bode, Rose Salber, Agnes Starman and Clara Jensen; along with three brothers and one sister in infancy; five brothers-in-law: Harold Henn, Reuben Jensen, Leonard Starman, Fred Bode and Lawrence Salber; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
