Hensley Receives FFA “VIP” Award

Earlier this month, the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln was filled with blue jackets. Corduroy blue FFA jackets that is. It was the awards ceremony at the 88th Nebraska FFA State Convention, and students flooded into the arena to hear their State Officers deliver awards to outstanding chapters and individuals who help FFA thrive in the state of Nebraska.
Karl Hensley, Central Valley Ag’s Senior Vice President was honored to accept the VIP Award during the ceremony. This award is given to an individual who assures that the association is on point, and helps sustain FFA for the future. Over the past six years Karl has committed his time to helping influence the agricultural industry to invest in, engage with and support FFA programming through his role in serving as a volunteer on the Nebraska FFA Foundation Board of Directors.
Through his work with the NE FFA foundation he has helped create programming for industry supporters to engage with agricultural education students in the classroom and across the state. He helped create collaboration with industry supporters to develop key programming with the NE FFA Foundation to share the story of FFA through the “I Believe in the future of FFA” campaign. Through this campaign over 2 million dollars have been raised to support local and statewide FFA programming.
This would not have been possible without Hensley’s passion and commitment to FFA.
