Wolfpack Golfers Take Third At Ewing Invite

EWING — The Elgin Public-Pope John golf team finished third at the highly competitive Ewing Golf Invite held Wednesday.
West Holt won the team competition with a score of 335, Osmond was second at 359 followed by EPPJ at 361.
Altogether, golfers from 14 schools played in the tournament. Orchard/Clearwater finished sixth and Ewing was ninth.
Mason Hale of West Holt was medalist with a 78, Clay Hanson of Boyd County was second with an 80 over 18 holes.
The Wolfpack, coached by Dorothy Heithoff, were led by junior Chad Bode who finished fifth in the individual competition with an 18-hole score of 84.
Placing 10th was Hunter Reestman with an 88 while Miles Schrage came in 14th with a 92.
Other Wolfpack scores were Liam Heithoff 97 and Kalin Henn 105.
Next action for the Wolfpack will be Thursday, April 21, when they compete at the Columbus Scotus Invite.
