FFA Banquet To Feature Guest Speaker Trent Loos

A year of accomplishment will be celebrated Thursday night at the 49th Annual Elgin FFA Banquet.
The event will be held in the EPS gymnasium, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
EHS and PJCC students, as members of the Elgin FFA, will be recognized for their accomplishments during a very busy year. Awards will be handed out, there will be a “year-in-review” slide show, and officers for the 2016-2017 school year will be announ-ced.
Guest speaker for the event will be nationwide rural radio talk show host Trent Loos from Loup City.
Known for his radio show entitled “Loos Tales,” Loos will inspire and challenge FFA members, their parents and others connected to the agriculture industry to speak up for agriculture.
He launched his radio show back in 2001 and today it airs on over 100 stations nationwide and boasts three million listeners on-air and online. In 2008, he was recognized as the “Voice of Rural America” by the West Quest organization for his ground-breaking work in advocating for agriculture and speaking on behalf of “folks who would rather stay home and tend to their crops and livestock than take on those attacking their life-sustaining industry.”
The banquet is for FFA members, their parents and invited guests.
