Kittelson Files For Re-Election

Candidates continue their march to the Antelope County Courthouse in Neligh to file for election.
According to information obtained Monday from the Antelope County Clerk’s office, there will be a race for the Elgin City Council seat in Ward #1.
Incumbent Jim Kittelson has filed for re-election. He will be opposed by Michael R. Braband who filed in late January.
In Ward #2, the seat held by Don Mackel is up for election this year.
At Clearwater, Eli Jacob has filed for the District #2 seat on the Antelope County Board of Supervisors. The seat is currently held by Merlin Bolling.
The deadline for incumbents to file for re-election is February 16.
As of Monday, the only filing for the District #18 Board of Education was by Doug Jones who is seeking to be elected to a four-year term on the board. Incumbents whose seats are up for election this year are Steve Busteed, Stan Heithoff and Laurie Waterbury.
