Designed as a tool to be used to promote the livestock industry across Nebraska. Antelope County may soon joining a growing number of Nebraska counties to be designated as “livestock friendly.”
The Antelope County Board of Supervisors have scheduled a hearing to accept public comments for establishing the county as being “livestock friendly” according to the State Department of Agriculuture standards.
According to County Clerk Lisa Payne, the hearing will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, during the regular supervisors meeting at the Antelope County Courthouse. All interested parties may offer oral comments at the hearing and/or may file written comments with the supervisors as long as they are received by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4 (the day before the hearing).
