A Mass of Christian Burial for Ruby C. Brandl, age 98, of Elgin, was held Monday morning, October 12, 2015, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in O’Neill with Rev. Bernard Starman officiating.
Graveside Services were held that afternoon at Park Center Cemetery west of Elgin.
Visitation was Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill.
Ruby passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 7, 2015, at the Golden Living Center in O’Neill.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
She is survived by her two children; Fran Baum and husband Dave, of Elgin, and Albert Brandl and wife Ardis of Fargo, ND, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, eight brothers and sisters, and three half-brothers. Ruby was born on July 26, 1917, in Breslau, NE, to William and Mary (Haba) Jeffrey. She married Edwin Brandl on November 13, 1936; to this union two children were born – Fran and Albert. Edwin passed away on May 9, 2005, after 68 years of marriage. Ruby was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Elgin V.F.W. Auxiliary.
