EPPJ Netter Split Matches At Chambers

CHAMBERS — The Wolfpack volleyball team suffered just their third loss of the season Thursday night, falling to Chambers/Wheeler Central 25-22 and 27-25.
The Renegades (9-7) registered 39 kills at the net, led by Jacie Laetsch with 17, T. Marcellus had 12 and Regan Dierks added 10. As a team, they were 85 of 97 in attacks.
In contrast, Wolfpack hitters had just 20 kills in the match. Junior Liz Selting recorded six, Jenna Parks and Terri Seier each had five, Jill Schindler added two, Amy Nelson and Jordan Mescher each had one. The Wolfpack were 55 of 61 hitting.
The Wolfpack were credited with two ace serves in the match, one each from Nelson and Selting. Schindler and Seier led blockers with two solo blocks apiece, Nelson and Selting each had one.
The most telling statistic in the match was digs. The Wolfpack had 37 dig errors compared to just nine for the Renegades. Mescher and Nicole Beckman led EPPJ with five digs apiece, Selting and Parks each had four, Baylee Wemhoff added two.
Wolfpack setters accounted for 20 set assists in the match, led by Parks with eight and Wemhoff with seven. The Renegades were led by Molly Lambert with 27.
Mescher led the team in serve receive with 18, Selting had 14.
The Wolfpack posted a victory in the other match they played that night at the triangular. EPPJ made quick work of Elkhorn Valley, defeating the Falcons 25-17 and 25-21. The victory boosted the Wolfpack’s record to 14-3.
Wolfpack hitters had 19 kills in the match. Selting and Parks tied for the team-high with five apiece, Seier and Nelson each had three, Beckman, Schindler and Paige Meis each had one. Sierra Rystrom led the Falcons with five.
