CREIGHTON — Postponed one day due to snow and rain, Wolfpack track athletes showed their mettle Friday competing in the Antelope County Meet.
Just four schools (EPPJ, Neligh-Oakdale, Elkhorn Valley and Clearwater-Orchard) competed in the meet held at Creighton High School.
The Wolfpack were missing a number of key contributors, but still turned in some outstanding efforts.
On the girls side, the Wolfpack collected five gold medals. They were won by Paige Meis (long jump), Taylor Schumacher (pole vault), Jenna Parks (1600 meter run), Taya Voborny (100 meter hurdles) and Sydney Kerkman (3200 meter run).
For the boys, Ryan Pelster won both the 1600 and 3200 meter run and teammate Austin Meis won the 200 meter dash.
Neligh-Oakdale won the boys team competition with 102.5 points followed by Elkhorn Valley 93, Clearwater-Orchard 68.5 and EPPJ 64.
In the girls team competition, Clearwater-Orchard won with 125 points followed by EPPJ with 104.5, Neligh-Oakdale 52.5 and Elkhorn Valley 35.
