State Speech Results For Pope John

Two members of the Pope John Central Catholic speech team brought home medals Friday from the Class D-2 State Speech Contest held in Kearney.
Competing on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Kearney, Marie Meis and Brody Hupp excelled in the finals.
Meis placed fourth in Informative Speaking.
Hupp, competing in Extemporaneous Speaking, placed fifth in the final standings.
Coached by Peggy Payne, PJCC had several other students competing at the state speech competition, turning in outstanding performances.
Karissa Dicke earned a “superior” rating in Informative Speaking, Lexie Heithoff received an “excellent” rating in Persuasive Speaking; and the school’s OID team of Maria Bartak, Karissa Dicke, Lexie Heithoff, Terri Seier and Scott Moser, were awarded an “excellent” rating.
