Lady Wolfpack Finish Season 18-8

This week the best girls basketball teams will compete for championships at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.
Unfortunately for Wolfpack fans, Elgin Public-Pope John won’t be among them.
Having compiled an 18-8 record, the Wolfpack were eliminated from postseason play by Plainview at the C2-8 Subdistrict. Plainview was defeated in the District C2-4 final by undefeated Crofton.
Still, it was a great year for the Wolfpack and Coach Randy Eisenhauer.
They opened the season with five straight victories and, by Jan. 6, had put together an 8-1 record.
The Wolfpack fell to O’Neill St. Mary’s as part of a 1-3 streak which saw their record go to 9-4. A 60 to 41 victory over Elkhorn Valley started a stretch where EPPJ won six of seven games. EPPJ then split their final six games of the season.
As a team, the Wolfpack averaged 48 points per game for the season.
On defense, they allowed an average of 42.6 points per contest.
