Kathy S. Zegers, 62 of Petersburg, passed away at her home.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Levander Funeral Home in Albion, with Fr. Stan Schmit officia-ting.
Burial followed at St. John’s Cemetery in Petersburg.

Kathy Sue Zegers, daughter of Edwin and Frances (Cady) Hoerle, was born August 24, 1952 at O’Neill, NE. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chambers, and attended Wheeler County High School in Bartlett.
After graduation, she worked for her father’s steel business near Chambers, Olson Manufacturing in Atkinson, and later at Foxley’s Feedlot at Bartlett.
On June 10, 1989, Kathy married Larry Zegers at Norfolk. She worked and lived in Norfolk, O’Neill and Elgin.
She also spent time traveling with Larry while he was driving truck across country.
Most recently, they lived in Petersburg where Kathy was an in-home caregiver for a period of time.
Kathy enjoyed watching football and bull riding, and spending time with her husband, step-children and grandchildren. She especially loved her brother Duane and her cats.
She is survived by her husband Larry of Petersburg; mother-in-law: Lois Zegers of Petersburg; one sister: Barbara (husband Mike) Petersen of Lincoln; one brother: Duane Hoerle of O’Neill; three step-children: Michaela Zegers (husband Preston Hoffmeyer) of Omaha; Curtis (wife Ronna) Zegers of Omaha; Moriah (husband Rob) Brookshier of Omaha; five grandchildren: Tatum, Camden, Kaius, Berkeley, and Zeplin; along with brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Dave Bartos; father-in-law: Jim Zegers; sister-in-law: Sandy Lodge; brother-in-law: Terry Zegers; and step-nephew: Andrew Peterson.
