AKSARBEN Seeking Nominees For Good Neighbor, Pioneer Farm Awards

The AKSARBEN Foundation, in association with the Nebraska Farm Bureau, is now accepting applications for Nebraska Pioneer and Heritage Farm Awards. Families eligible for the Pioneer Farm award must have owned land for 100 consecutive years. Heritage farm awardees must have owned land for 150 consecutive years. To date, more than 9,000 families in all 93 Nebraska counties have been honored at their respective county fairs. Each honoree receives an engraved plaque and gatepost marker as permanent recognition of this milestone.
Nomination forms can be obtained from your local County Fair Board Office or found online at www.aksarben.org. All nominations must be received by the county fair board office in which the land is found no later than April 1, 2015, with applications due into the AKSARBEN Foundation offices no later than May 1, 2015.
Good Neighbor
Also, the AKSARBEN Foundation, in association with the Omaha World-Herald, is now accepting entries for AKSARBEN Good Neighbor Awards. The program honors individuals nominated by neighbors for performing unselfish, neighborly deeds without compensation or personal gain.
Nomination forms can be obtained from your local County Fair Board Office or online at www.aksarben.org. All nominations must be received at the AKSARBEN Foundation offices no later than May 1, 2015.
