Services for Edwin “Eddie” Schock, 75, rural Lindsay were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday Jan. 3, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindsay.  Burial was in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Friday with a 7 p.m scripture service at the church. Visitation continued after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.  Duesman Funeral Chapel of Humphrey was in charge of arrangements.
He died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at his home.
Eddie was born June 21, 1939, at Norfolk to Edward P. and Anna C. (Kristi) Schock. He attended St. Bernard Catholic School and Humphrey High School.
On April 8, 1967, Eddie and Bernadine C. “Deanie” Schiltmeyer were united in marriage at St, Bonaventure Catholic Church at Raeville.  Together they raised their family and farmed northeast of Lindsay in Madison County.
He was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors include daughters Jody Strong of Norfolk, Sharon and Dale Paasch of Cedar Bluffs and Sheila and Joseph Gnat of Pierce; grandchildren Joshua Gnat, Lucas Gnat and Kaden Gnat; brother Joseph and Shirley Schock of Blair; and a sister, Alice and Leonard Kruse of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bernadine on Aug. 17, 2008, and a son, John on Aug. 23, 2002.
