NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ANTELOPE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
Notice is hereby given that the Antelope County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing to review a conditional use permit submitted by Prairie Breeze Wind Energy for the purpose of building an Operations & Maintenance Facility on 17 acres in the SE 1/4 2-23-7 Antelope County Nebraska.
The hearing will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 9:45 am at the Antelope County Courthouse in Neligh, Nebraska.
The application may be examined in the office of the Antelope County Clerk or the Zoning Office during normal business hours at any time prior to the public hearing. All interested parties may offer oral comments at the public hearing and/or may file written comments with the Antelope County Board of Supervisors provided such written comments are received by the Board prior to close of business October 4, 2013. In accordance with Section 72-205.01 of the Nebraska Statutes, NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Educational Lands and Funds has adopted a new rental schedule according to classification and a new schedule of valuations for all school and any other lands managed by the Board in Antelope County; and that such new schedules, together with a tabulation of the valuation and the amount of semiannual rental of each lease, has been filed in the office of the county treasurer of such countyand shall become effective January 1, 2014.

NOTICE OF MEETING OF COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AS A COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION OF ANTELOPE COUNTY, NEBRASKA
Notice is hereby given that the County Board of Supervisors of Antelope County, Nebraska will hold a County Board of Equalization meeting in the County Supervisor’s room in the Antelope County Courthouse annex in Neligh, Nebraska on October 8th, 2013 at 9:30 AM for the purpose of setting tax rates for the county, townships, fire districts and other governmental entities; approving tax rates set by various subdivisions and schools and those certified by other counties; for approving tax list corrections and various other items that may need to be addressed. Said meeting will be open to the public. An agenda for the meeting, kept continuously current, is available for public inspection at the Antelope County Clerk’s office.

Pope John XXIII Central Catholic High School will begin homecoming week activities with Coronation Ceremonies on Sunday, September 29, at 7:30 pm in the St. Boniface Gym.
The PJ junior class will host a free will donation BBQ prior to the coronation from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the St. Boniface Church Basement.
King and queen candidates include all of the members of the senior class.

The Albion Area Arts Council will begin its 34th season on Sunday, October 6 with a 7 p.m. concert by award-winning cabaret singer Mary Carrick and pianist Todd Brooks at the Zion Lutheran Church in Albion. Mary and Todd will do a residency the following morning at St. Michael’s school in Albion.
In October and November, in preparation for Jill Anderson’s depiction of Charlotte Bronte in April, retired Boone Central English and History teacher Randall Henning will lead the first of two book studies, this one exploring Charlotte Bronte’s novel, Jane Eyre. Sessions will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, Oct. 15 through Nov. 5 in the Harmony Homes Recreation Room in Albion. Books will be provided at the first session.
