Wolfpack Defeats Niobrara/Verdigre 74 to 0

October 19, 2011 by lmorgan · Comments Off

NIOBRARA — Hoping to post their biggest win of the season, Niobrara-Verdigre found out the Wolfpack is a team to be reckoned with as they lost 74 to 0 Friday night.

Elgin Public-Pope John scored in nearly every conceivable way in boosting their record to 7-0.

The game was as one-sided as a game could get. Niobrara-Verdigre fumbled the opening kickoff which the Wolfpack recovered. Two plays later they were in the endzone as Wolfpack senior Nash Schindler scored on a five-yard run. Not long after that score, he blocked a punt which junior Ross Schindler recovered for a touchdown.

The third score of the quarter came on a one-yard run by Andrew Heithoff.
