Sixty-six participants (65 people and one dog) participated Monday evening in the Vetch Days Poker Walk/Run.
Starting at One Stop and working their way around town, participants battled 90-degree heat to finish the route. Along the way they collected playing cards for the ‘poker’ part of the event.
The Elgin Red Cross Bloodmobile was held at the KC Hall in Elgin on Tuesday, June 16th. Our goal for the day was 60 units and we received 64 donors through the door with 56 productive units.
Time is winding down for donations to be made to the Elgin Endowment Fund in conjunction with the Hunt Family Challenge.
Wednesday, July 1, is the deadline to make donations towards the Hunt Challenge.
Two things were certain Saturday morning. One, the sun would rise in the East; and Two, the Elgin community would be teaming with garage sale shoppers.
As the sun rose, as many as 35 different garage sale locations sprang into action. Last minute preparations were made before shoppers began to arrive.
Throughout the summer, persons will be able to drop off used oil safely in Clearwater. Persons can dispose of used oil at the Clearwater County Barn between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.Appointments can also be made by calling (402) 485-2413.
