ELGIN - Twelve teams competed at the Elgin Invitational held last Tuesday. Pope John finished 4th with 125 points. Elgin finished 8th with 60 points.

SPALDING - The Lady Eagles fell behind early in the game and neer regained any momentum as Spalding/Spalding Academy defeated Elgin, 51 to 25.
ELGIN - The Lady Crusaders made it two in a row Tuesday night as they deafeated Leigh 65 to 41.
CHAMBERS - It took an extra period Saturday for the Elgin Eagles to prevail over Chambers 50 to 44.
ELGIN - Outscored in all four quarters, Pope John suffered a rare home loss Tuesday night to Leigh by the score of 49 to 34.

EHS Boys: CEDAR RAPIDS - The Eagles placed third at the Cedar Rapids Holiday Tournament with a 63 to 29 victory over Rising City. In the first round, Burwell edged out the Eagles, 67 to 51.
EHS Girls: CEDAR RAPIDS - The Lady Eagles claimed third place at the Cedar Rapids Holiday Tournament with a win over Rising City, 28 to 25. In Friday’s opening round game, Burwell defeated the Lady Eagles, 36 to 23.
PJCC Boys: ELGIN - The Crusaders dropped two games in their Holiday Tournament. In the first round game, Wynot topped the Crusaders, 50 to 40. In consolation finals, Humphrey St. Francis won, 56 to 40.
PJCC Girls: ELGIN - The Lady Crusaders placed third in the PJCC Holiday Tournament with a win over Humphrey St. Francis, 61 to 55. In the opening round, Wynot had their number, winning 55 to 48.
