The Bank of Elgin will host a Flu Shot Clinic on Monday, November 17.  Antelope Memorial Hospital will be administering the shots from 11 am - 1 pm.  Cost is $20…Medicare Part B are free but must have their cards with them.

Morrison, Miller Outstanding 4-H’ers

Jessica Morrison of Elgin and Michael Miller of Oakdale were named Outstanding 4-H Girl and Boy for the 2008 4-H year.  Jessica is the daughter of Aaron & Alice Morrison.  Michael is the son of David & Ruth Miller. Both are 2008 graduates of Elgin High School.

VFW Buddy Poppies Around Town

VFW Auxiliary 5816 is placing canisters around local businesses for collection of funds for the Buddy Poppy campaign.  Please show your gratitude to disabled and needy veterans by being generous!

Veterans Day Program Held at Elgin Public School Gymnasium

Veterans from the Elgin area carried in our nation’s colors to signify the start of the Veteran’s Day program held Tuesday morning.  Attendees heard from guest speaker Colonel Roma J. Recall Election set for December 16

The Antelope County Board of Supervisors have set Tuesday, December 16 as the date for a special recall election.  County Assessor Julie Harrison was the recent subject of a recall petition drive.  The recall campaign garnered nearly 1,000 verified signatures, well over the amount needed.  Harrison notified County Clerk Carolyn Pederson that she would not resign, therefore setting the stage for the special election.
