BJ and Angie Schmitt of Sioux Falls, SD welcome home a daughter, Adelyn Rose. Adelyn was born on October 14, 2008. She is welcomed home by a sister, Averi.

Walter Lee Plugge, 75, of Bartlett, NE passed away on Friday, November 7 at the Grand Island VA Medical Center. Funeral services were held on Monday, November 10, 2008 at the Methodist Church in Bartlett, NE. Burial was at the Bartlett Cemetery.

Delores Mae Thiessen, 79, of Plattsmouth, NE, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Hospice House in Omaha. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church in Plattsmouth. Memorials may be directed to the United Presbyterian Women or Josie Harper Hospice House.

Over the past week, the Elgin Eagles beat Wynot (40-14) and Allen (21-2) to advance to the semi-finals. They will face off against #2 seed Humphrey St. Francis. HSF is also undefeated and will travel to Elgin for the Saturday evening (6 pm) game.
The Eagles volleyball season came to an end at the hands of Lindsay Holy Family. LHF won in three, 17-25, 25-23 and 25-23.
The PJ Crusaders football team saw their season come to an all-to-early-end last Wednesday evening. Humphrey St. Francis (playing the Eagles this Saturday) eliminated the Crusaders in the 3rd-Round game by the score of 56-14.
The Lady Crusaders fell to Dodge in the finals of the D2-5 Sub-Districts. Dodge beat the Crusaders in four; 20-25, 25-22, 27-25 and 25-17.

W01 Bill Score, son of Janie and the late Randy Score, was one of 45 pilots graduating from Black Hawk Flight School and was recognized as the Distinguished Honor Graduate of his class.
Ceremonies were held on October 30, 2008 at Fort Rucker, AL.
