The Elgin Public Art students recently competed in the annual Keya Paha Invitational Art Show at Springview. Preparation for the show begins several days in advance. This includes finishing up any last minute details on the project, matting the work, taping hangers on the back and filling out and attaching a tag to their piece. The tag includes such information as the category, title, student name, grade, school and teacher. If any of this is not completed correctly the project is not taken to the show. All art students must submit work to the show and are graded on their show prep.
